Words from the MD

Today Viskan is a leader in business systems for subscription clubs in Scandinavia, RAMOS is used in more
than 10 European countries. We are in a very expansive phase and have every reason to be proud of what
we've achieved so far(yet still not satisfied!).

The start of the company was more modest. The thoughts behind the name of Viskan reflect a high level of
ambition that has always permeated the company - we're constantly planning a future with a level higher
than that of today. When the name for the 3-man company was chosen in 1996, the same principles were
used as those behind the choosing of the multinational company Kodak. In other words, we wanted a
name that could be pronounced in as many languages as possible but at the same time lacked any specific
meaning in any language. That the Viskan river runs through the town of Borås was seen as a bonus
and a possibility to bring forth the logotype where the S represents the river and the surrounding
letters are our motto; 'Vi Kan' which can be translated to 'We have the expertise'.

Viskan's success is built upon our constant long-term focus on our customers and our products.
I am convinced that the future is bright for those who are best within their niche and who
dare to grow internationally within it. This truth applies to both Viskan as system suppliers
as well as our successful customers. My goal is therefore clear: with the worlds best
system Viskan will become the world's leading supplier of business systems for
subscription clubs.
